Hello! I'm
really sorry for not being consistent with my posts lately, a couple
more weeks and it will be all good! :D Have you got any plans for the
summer holidays? Tell me below!
For
todays post im doing a DIY on how to make lace denim short I haven't
done a DIY in a while so I was excited to do this one :)
Here goes!
This was my inspiration to make these. I got this picture off tumblr so I dont know who owns it. I fit is yours and you want it aken down please say so.
Things you will need: Fabric scissors, fabric glue (or needle and thread) paint brush, card board, denim shorts( mine are from penneys/primark) and paper cutter thing (I don't know how to called them!)
This was the lace I bought, it was about €2:00 for half a meter
I
want my lace to cover half of the shorts (right hand side) So with your
fabric scissors cut it in the shape you want. It doesnt have to be too
neat.
Starting from the edge I got my fabric glue and paint brush and spread alot of glue onto the shorts
You place the lace down but fold in the edges of the fabric so it has less of a chance of unraveling
Spread the glue around the rest of the sorts and follow the same method of folding in the edges
Repeat the same process all around the shorts
Get this yoke (still dont know what its called)
This is optional but I want to do some damage to my
shorts as well to I got the cutter thing and just shredded away at my
shorts. I think I went a little overboard!
To finish it off I ironed them and put them in the wash
If the fabric glue isnt strong enough the lace might start to fall off so you might want to just sew the edges.
Et
voila! I hope you liked this DIY It was really fun to make and I cant
wait to ware these when it gets warmer! Remember if you want to stay a
